A rock in the open-air bath has a dragon pattern on it that's said to bring good luck to those who find it, so we hope you do!

History of Otowaya Ryokan
Our ryokan began when its first-generation owner, a lover of rural kabuki theater who'd made many trips all around the country to enjoy it, decided to open an inn here in 1947.
A traditional Japanese artform, kabuki has long entertained people with plays, dances, music, and more.
Cherishing the spirit of it that's been handed down from our first-generation founder, we'll go on aiming ever higher to make sure we remain an inn that's loved by all.
The inside of our ryokan is decorated with kabuki and ukiyo-e motifs with octopuses and other designs.
We're about a 7-minute walk or 2-minute drive from the nearest station, which is Echigo-Yuzawa Station.
We also run a shuttle service.
Please call us (+81-25-784-3412) once you arrive at Echigo-Yuzawa Station.
The shuttle service is available until 6:00 p.m.
Note: Please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate your request even if it's within the service hours.
